Hello everyone! I am a graduate of Eastern University, where I earned a degree in Youth Ministry and Biblical Studies. In college, I was on the Ultimate Frisbee team, and in High School, I played basketball. I love dogs, and I am a massive Star Wars fan! It's also important to note that I am a big Eagles and Nick Foles fan, too!
I have felt the call to ministry since High School so I am excited to grow into this position and get to know all of you!Juliette Kuhn
Director of Student & Young Adult Ministries
First Pres Student Ministries strives to be a safe space where youth can grow in their faith by creating close relationships with peers and adults who will listen to them, love them, and want to help them get to know and love God. We will strive to create opportunities for students to get involved in leadership positions all around the Church, giving them the chance to live out and share with others the talents and gifts that God has given them.
This is a place for teenagers to BELONG. We exist to provide every teen with the chance to EXPERIENCE God, GROW in their faith, REACH those outside our walls, and create future LEADERS.
BELONG: Having a place to BELONG is essential for teenagers, so we have created a space just for that. Every student that walks through our doors will be known and loved, and know and love others.
EXPERIENCE: We believe that having a relationship with Jesus is essential. We want our students to EXPERIENCE God in order to create their own faith and become transformed.
GROW: Faith is an ongoing journey where learning never stops. We want our students to GROW in their faith, and an important part of that is asking questions. In our ministry, questions will be viewed as a cause for celebration.
REACH: We believe that it is important to show Gods love to others through mission and outreach. In order to do this, we will help our students to engage in their faith outside of our Youth Ministry environments to REACH those outside our walls.
LEADERS: We believe that every student has their own gifts and talents. We will strive to encourage and teach them to share those gifts with others. We will also help prepare our students to be LEADERS by encouraging them to take on leadership roles within the Church.
Our summers are still full of fun and fellowship! We offer weekly Bible Studies on Tuesday's followed by a trip to do something fun. We offer different opportunities for students to be in leadership roles and for them to serve others. Our students help minister to our kids by helping with VBS and being counselors at Church Camp!
Summer Mission Trip
Senior High (9-12): We offer our help in communities all over the United States. We try to create fun and educational opportunities to raise money so the trip is affordable for everyone who wants to attend. Then we spend one week during summer serving others and serving God.

It is when they have the opportunity to make a commitment to following Christ with their whole heart for the rest of their lives, and to uphold First Presbyterian Church as a member of our congregation. All 8th/9th graders go through confirmation class on Sunday's during Sunday school hour. We offer our confirmation class every other year, so if you are interested in joining our next class, contact Juliette Kuhn. When? Sunday's from 9:45-10:45AM. Where? Confirmation classroom, located downstairs.
On Sunday evenings, in September through April, from 5:30 to 7:30pm, students grades 6-12 experience a combination of dinner, games, worship, a lesson, and a time for small groups. Sunday evenings are a great time to invite friends to join us for fun and fellowship!
