Sunday School
Classes are offered for all ages, including adults. Curriculum is organized around the Common Lectionary, integrates spiritual practices, is biblically based, Reformed in language and belief, interprets and reflects PC(USA) mission foci, teaches diversity, is both teacher and learner friendly and uses current education theory.

Sunday school meets between Sunday worship services from 9:45-10:45 a.m. from the Sunday following Labor Day until the Sunday prior to Memorial Day. Adult classes are led by leadership teams recruited for particular topics.

If you have a topic you would like the Adult Education Committeeto consider for future courses, you are welcome to share that ideas with us!

Adult Education Classes 2008 (Spring)

Classes are held on Sundays from 9:45-10:45 a.m.

BIBLE ENRICHMENT EXPERIENCE

March 30 - May 18 Rm. A-25

We are continuing this popular class because of BEE's buzzing success. Rather than studying a specific book of the Bible, the content of BEE will coincide with the topic or scripture on which the sermon is based. Enhance your Sunday worship experience by attending BEE

HEALTH CARE ISSUES will be the subject of classes during April and will meet in the Great Hall

April 6- Shirley Drazewski, executive director of the Community Health Care Clinic, regarding gaps in local services and access to services.

April 13 - Challenges employers face in trying to provide health care for employees. John Burrill of Mid- Central Community Action and a McLean County Chamber of Commerce representative will be our guests.

April 20 - Illinois public policy. State Senator David Koehler, who was vice chair of the Adequate HealthCare Task Force, will describe the consensus recommendations of the Task Force and bring us up to date on current discussions in state government.

April 27 - Discuss where we might want to go as a congregation in addressing these issues. Pastor Larry will help us consider some possibilities.

Delores Kelly Sewing Circle meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The group quilts and ties comforters, makes baby items for Presbyterian missions, supplies veteran's needs and gives a comforter to every new Habitat for Humanity family. All women are welcome—and you don't have to be an "expert" sewer! Come and enjoy fellowship with other Christian women—and serve God! For more information, contact Shirley Aten at (309) 663-8689.

  Small Group Connections
Small groups allow members and friends of First Presbyterian Church to find friendly, caring relationships, Bible study and fellowship. Small groups allow not only a connection with others in their group, but more of a connection with the church, with their faith and with God. [ Small Group Connections ]
