Larry Gaylord

Larry Gaylord

Pastor Larry first came to First Presbyterian on January 1, 2006. Larry and his wife Leslie have two teenagers, Jacob and Larissa. They enjoy walking and running on the Constitution Trail, soccer and aikido (a Japanese martial art). They also enjoy sharing in the small group ministries of the church, traveling to their summer cabin in Montana and participating in community activities.

One of Larry's favorite passages is from Jeremiah 31, verse 3, where the Lord says, "I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you."

Carol Kehl
Carol has served First Presbyterian Church as the administrative assistant since 1999. She and her husband, Andy, are proud parents of three sons, Richard, Steven and Michael. She is active in the Normal West High School band program, cheers on the University of Illinois's Marching Illini and participates in the church's Chancel Choir.

Kelley Becker
Kelley serves as the director of Christian Education at First Presbyterian Church. She directs the programming for children and youth, ages preschool-12th grade. Her passion in life is bringing young people to a lively, exciting faith in Jesus Christ.

Kelley is the mom of two fabulous boys, ages 17 and 10. She enjoys running, biking, chocolate and spending time with the boys. Her favorite scripture passage is from Ephesians 3:17-21. It is a reminder of the love that God has for all of His children.

I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God."—NIV

Phil Enge
Phil has been on staff at First Presbyterian Church since 1990 and became director of Music Ministries in 1995. He holds a bachelors degree from Western Illinois University.

Phil enjoys being outdoors and spending time with his Labrador Retriever, NeroWolfe. Phil chose 1 Corinthians 13:1 as his favorite Scripture.

  Bonnie Coffer
Bonnie serves as First Presbyterian Church's financial coordinator. After 25 years as accounting manager for Sears, she retired. She says that this position as financial coordinator is a gift from God as she enjoys numbers and the challenge. She also enjoys nature and her cat, Patches.

Diana Blair
Diana has been the director of the Road Less Traveled Choir since 1994. She holds a bachelors degree in music education from Illinois Wesleyan University majoring in piano and minoring in clarinet and voice. After teaching in area schools and through private lessons, Diana is now a realtor for Re/Max Twin City Realtors.

During her free time, Diana volunteers at Crossroads Global Handcrafts, Habitat for Humanity, Mobile Meals, and serves on the board of the United Campus Christian Foundation at ISU. She enjoys accompanying the State Farm jazz group J108 throughout the year for benefits and fundraising events and singing with the vocal group, Cantus Novus.

Diana gains the greatest inspiration from I John 3:11-24. She says that knowing God loves us so much, we, in turn, should do all we can for others, showing love to ALL and in every way possible.
