Pastor's Report
- Jim reminded the session that after
the October 12 Presbytery on Ministry Committee meeting
that we can move forward with the election of the PNC — Pastor
Nominating Committee.
- He named the church members who are
suffering from serious illnesses.

Session Agenda
- Jim asked session members to please be present at the October
24 Stewardship Banquet which will be held at St. John's
Lutheran Church from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Make reservations.
- Jim distributed a sample
of the working proposed budget.
- Mons Schrantz reminded chairpersons to update their committee
descriptions.
- The session also approved that committees may spend up
to $2,500 of their Approved Budget without getting session
permission. It was $1,000.
- Jim told about a festival he'd like to do sometime:
The Joy & Sharing of Christmas.

Rev. Bell led a workshop on
this question: "What one thing
do I most want to see happen at First Presbyterian in the next
five years?"

"First Report"
- Safe unified welcoming family.
Strengthen unity of entire
congregation
People need to be involved through small groups.
- Ministry
for mission in community. Long term impact.
- Music ministries — expand
present choirs and add youth voice choir

- Christian education at all levels
that is exciting and meaningful, especially children
and youth.

- Evangelism — bring others

Jim noted that in the mission task force survey that ministry
to older adults was strong.
Joys and Concerns were shared.

members needed October 17 at 1:30 p.m.
- October 24: Stewardship Dinner
- October 27: next regular Session Meeting
