Call to order by Moderator Rev. Jim Bell. Devotions and prayer
were led by Judy Lindsay on gardening (Psalm 104).
Roll Call. Mons Schrantz moved and Cathy Rinehart seconded that
members requesting to be absent be excused. Motion carried. Jon
Thetard and Matt Wiesemann were welcomed
as guests. They will be ordained as session members in September
with the others elected.
Treasurer's Report: Net operating total as of May 31:
$9,585.38. Jim Bouas noted the current pledges are $21,000 behind.
Femley Dickerson, new addition contractor, has not yet asked
for their final $200,000. Jim Bouas moved and Judy Lindsay seconded
that the treasurer's
report be accepted. Motion carried.

Old Business:
- Pastor Nominating Committee — Lloyd Wiesemann reported
that the committee had chosen five applicants and had
received materials back from three. Jim Bell urged the committee
to set up telephone interviews soon.
- Small Group Committee — There will be no July 3 picnic
following the 10:00 service (one service only). Communion
will be served at worship.
New Business:
- Property Committee —Steve Barwick sent a Property Committee
request
for approval of $10,000 to have Rowe Construction install
a 36" storm sewer and fill in the current drainage
ditch. The ditch will then be turned over to the
City of Normal to maintain. This will make the area totally
accessible for the
church. We are also to get black dirt for the new area.
Mons Schrantz moved
and Jerry Parsons seconded that this be approved. Motion
carried.
- Membership Committee report was presented by Terry Tosh
which was a review of potential members to be moved to
the inactive list and removal from the church rolls of members
who have been on the inactive list for over two years.
Cathy Rinehart moved and Mons Schrantz seconded a motion
that we would now again follow the Book
of Order which allows
churches to send a letter to "missing faces" who
have not participated in nor supported the church in the
past two years. A request will be made to them that they
go on the inactive list (and per capita will no longer
need to be paid for these individuals). If the members
have not returned to active participation after two years,
they will be dropped from the church rolls. Motion carried.

- Personnel Committee — David Seyller
sent the following information via Jim Bouas for
approval:
- That Karen Harvey be hired as a full-time custodian,
starting July 16, 2005. Annual salary will
be approximately $29,120 plus up to $5,000 health. ($14/hour
to be raised to $15/hour January 1, 2006.) Derek Peoples's
position will be eliminated.
- That $4,500 for health insurance
for Kelley Marion be provided when needed.
- Property Committee report as presented by Jim Bouas approved.
- Bob Hunt, representing Peacemakers, made
a motion that signature cards be available at a table in the
hallway after worship services on July 3 and July 10 for the
purpose of promoting the CYOP living wage ordinance. Motion
seconded by Mons Schrantz and carried.
- Cathy Rinehart commended Rev. Santana and his family for
their participation in the June 26 8:30 a.m. worship service.
- Jim Bouas was thanked for repeatedly watering the new lawn
shrubs.
- Fred Fuess will be married in the church the end of
June. Rev. Bell will conduct the service.
- There will be a church grounds work day on July 16.
- Vacation
Bible school was successful.
Next meeting: July 27. Devotions will be led by E'Lane Tufts.
Meeting was closed with prayer by Rev. Jim Bell.
