Bell opened the meeting in the sanctuary with prayer. 137 Members
were present.
The 2004 Nominating Committee presented the Church
Officer Ballot for 2005 Nominees. (The Nominating Committee members were Ginny
Nappi (chair), Sally Bailey, Carol Kashian, Jerry Ringer, Todd
S. Smith, Kurt Swearingen and Pam Wessel.)
Session nominees, Elder
Class of 2007 (3 year term, vote for 5): Jim Bouas, Judy Lindsay,
Cathy Rinehart, John Tuttle and Lloyd Wiesemann
Elder to finish Ginny Nappi's remaining
term through 2005 (1 year
term, vote for 1): Kathy Tosh
Youth Elder (1 year term): None at this time.
Church Treasurer (1 year term, vote for l): Jon Thetard
Assistant Treasurer (1 year term, vote for l): Sharon
Wiesemann
Rev. Bell asked for additional nominations from the floor. There
were none. Ben Paxton made a motion the nominations be closed.
Jean Sessions seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Evelyn Schwoerer
made a motion that the clerk cast an unanimous ballot for the
listed nominees. Greg Marsh seconded the motion. Motion carried.
The ballot will be cast.
The 2004 Nominating Committee presented
the Nominating Committee Slate for
2005 (1 year term; vote for 6): There were 10 candidates:
Sheila Allen, Jerry Dahlstrom-Salic, Phil Eaton, Mary Evenson,
Don Haerr, Sue O'Neal, Becca Rice, Don Rutledge and
David Theile. The six elected were: Jerry Dahlstrom-Salic, Phil Eaton, Don
Haerr, Sue O'Neal, Don Rutledge and Rachel Wilson.
The second part of the meeting was to present a Dissolution
of Relationship with Associate Pastor Vickie Kintzel. She has
accepted a call to the First Presbyterian Church of Berthoud, Colorado.
Cathy Rinehart made a motion that we "Sorrowfully and
with Celebration" sign a Certificate of Dissolution of
an Associate Relationship with Rev. Vickie Kintzel to be presented
to the Presbytery of Great Rivers on this day of June 27, 2004.
Rev. James G. Bell, moderator of this meeting, Margaret A. Wolf,
clerk of session and Stephen L. Miller, congregational representative.
Fred Fuess seconded the motion. An unanimous vote of 137 members
present was in favor of the Dissolution which will be effective
August 10, 2004.
Jim Bell announced that Rev. Vickie would preach
her last Sunday here, August 1, and a church picnic/party would
follow the second worship to honor her ten years service to
us.
