  Congregational Meeting: Minutes
First Presbyterian Church of Normal, Illinois
Sunday, June 19, 2005, 9:35 a.m.
 
             
 

Pastor Jim Bell called the meeting to order at 9:35 a.m. He gave the opening prayer.

Ballots were distributed by the Nominating Committee for the election of elder and the new Nominating Committee. Current 2005 Nominating Committee members were Lloyd Wiesemann (chair), Jerry Dahlstrom-Salic, Phil Eaton, Don Haerr, Sue O'Neal, Don Rutledge and Rachel Wilson.

A motion was made by Becky Mentzer that nominations be closed for the elders and an unanimous ballot be cast to elect the entire slate. Bryan Freeman seconded the motion. Motion carried.

The new Elders for the three year term (Class of 2008) are:

Phil Eaton
Rob Kelley
Joni Painter
Jon Thetard
Kathy Tosh
One Year Term (Youth Elder) Matt Wiesemann

A motion was made by Carol Ringer that nominations be closed for the 2006 Nominating Committee and an unanimous ballot be cast to elect the entire slate. John Anderson seconded the motion. Motion carried.

The 2006 Nominating Committee will be:

Norma Christiansen
Mary Lou Kimball
David Koh
Jerry Parsons
Don Peters
Mark Sherman

Fred Fuess made a motion the meeting adjourn. JoAnn Freeman seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Rev. Bell closed the meeting with prayer at 9:40 a.m.
