Roll Call:

Jim Bell called the meeting to order. Devotions and the opening prayer were led by Bob Hunt.

Acceptance of roll call. Faith Ten Haken was absent. Guests were welcomed. Motion was made by David S., seconded by E'Lane that we seat guests Rev. David Hunt of Clinton/presbytery rep and Carole Ringer. Carried. 

Treasurer's Report: Balance: $68.973.27
Motion made by Steve B., seconded by John T. that we accept treasurer's report. Carried.

More guests: Motion made by Jim B., seconded by John C. that we seat Jeff Stout. Carried.

Pastor's Report

  • Lois Odman is gravely ill.

Motion made by Mons S., seconded by David S. that Clerk's Report be accepted. Motion carried.

Another guest: Motion made by Bob H., seconded by Cathy R. that we seat Paul Harmon. Carried.

New Business:

  1. Kathy Tosh — Pastor Nominating Committee Report and discussion.
    Kathy presented the completed Church Information Form — Parts I and II. After much discussion, a motion was made by Mons S., seconded by Cathy R., that we accept the forms as prepared by the PNC except change the housing allowance to $18,000 to match the 2005 church budget. A show of hands was taken for the vote. Carried 13-2.
  2. Carole Ringer — Facility dedication formats and sign-up dates for displays were presented, encouraging all committees to be involved.
  3. Guidelines for use of the new facility will first be discussed in the properties committee. (i.e., fees list, administration, etc.) Note: Ch. Steve Barwick.
  4. Committee Goals — i.e. How can we all help membership get new members? Chairs have other goals in mind. Postponed for another meeting.
  5. Terry Tosh, Membership, reminded members of the 2004 Celebration Luncheon on January 30 for all new members. The next membership classes will be February 13 and 20. Session members will need to come to share committee duties and vote on new member acceptance on the 20th.

Rev. Jim shared joys and concerns and closed the meeting with prayer.

Next meeting is February 23, 2005, 7:00. Lloyd will do devotions.
