Session |

| |
Session is the governing body
for our church. It is comprised of elders, women and men elected
and ordained by the congregation, who exercise leadership,
government, and discipline on behalf of First Presbyterian Church.
Their primary charge is to seek to discover and represent the
will of Christ as they govern.
Twelve elders, the clerk of session and the
pastor(s) make up the session. Each elder typically serves for a
term of three years, with a third of the session members rotating off each
year to ensure stability.
Generally, session meets every month. Typically,
meetings alternate with church business and study. Meetings are
open to everyone. Contact one of the pastors or clerk of session if you wish
to attend a meeting. Meetings are normally held in the church
lounge on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m.
